Just as mosques abound in Istanbul, the same is true in St Petersburg (and even more so on Moscow but more of that later).
St Isaac's dome dominates the top end of town.
We got to St Nicholas (LHS) during a Sunday service and were treated to some glorious singing.
The Church of the Trinity (RHS) had been damaged by fire and was closed and shrouded for repairs. Pretty cool roof though don't you think?
