This is another imposing piece of real estate. It is quite slopey along its length, which is kind of weird. The domes of St Basil's gradually emerge as you walk along it. The first pic is of an emerging St Basil's under the very real threat of a big storm. The rain pelted down soon after this and cleared all the pedestrians in short order!
From the St Basil's end, looking back down the square, you see that really cool red brick building. From that end on your left is the Kremlin and on the right the GUM building which is a fabulous department store/arcade complex
